Das Bildungsmodul «The Art of Hosting», organisiert von Team Jugendarbeit und dem Büro für nonformale Bildung, zeigte: Lernen entsteht dort, wo Menschen sich sicher fühlen und wo Vielfalt Platz hat.

Am 11. Juni 2025 fand im Farelhaus Biel die Jahresveranstaltung Jugend von Movetia statt. Rund sechzig Fachpersonen der Jugendarbeit aus der ganzen Schweiz trafen sich zum Austausch zu den Methoden, Herausforderungen und Erfolgsfaktoren in der internationalen Jugendarbeit. 

Vor Kurzem hat Jean‑François an der europäischen Weiterbildung «The Power of Non-Formal Education» teilgenommen – eine Erfahrung, die ihn persönlich geprägt und seine Arbeit nachhaltig beeinflusst hat. Im Interview erzählt er über die Weiterbildung und die neuen Impulse für die offene Jugendarbeit.

Dieser Erfahrungsbericht zeigt, wie zwei Jugendgruppen aus der Romandie und dem Tessin non-formale Lernmethoden anwenden. Bei ihrem interkulturellen Abenteuer überwinden sie verschiedene Barrieren und wachsen gemeinsam.

Non-formal learning – how does it work and what are the advantages? The annual Youth in Action event 2021, “Officiellement non-formel”, was all about taking a different approach to learning, and all the participants agreed: non-formal methods should be used more often! For this reason, we have compiled a toolkit for you full of exciting non-formal methods.

In non-formal learning contexts, young people are involved in the learning process on a voluntary basis and control their own learning. They are supported by mentors. A project by Compagnie Digestif shows how non-formal learning can be implemented.

The evaluation and recognition of learning outcomes are central elements of a youth exchange. The mobility projects of the Jura association Les Coccinelles are exemplary in these aspects. Their project “SustainaBal” shows how they are going about it.
