European Schoolnet is the network of 34 European education ministries or agencies based in Brussels. As an international non-profit organisation, EUN aims to bring innovation in teaching and learning closer to ministries of education, schools, teachers, researchers and industry partners. The aim of EUN is to support education stakeholders in Europe in transforming educational processes for the digitalised society of the 21st century. EUN does this by identifying and testing promising innovative practices, sharing insights on their impact and supporting the mainstreaming of teaching and learning practices. EUN's focus is on the following themes/dossiers: evidence for innovation, STEM, new models of teaching and learning, and school networking.

As member of the EUN Steering Committee Movetia aims to improve the networking between Swiss education actors and European colleagues for the purpose of future joint projects, to increase the visibility of Swiss school education in Europe, to increase the participation of Swiss education actors in European education activities, and to increase the internationalisation of teacher training through participation in European training and development opportunities.

Movetia will perform this role for two years and will then evaluate how and whether it has been successful and whether Switzerland's representation in the EUN should be continued.
