Exchange between universities from Madagascar and Switzerland

A cooperation project between the University of Lausanne and the University of Antananarivo enabled students in the UNIL's Master's degree programme in geography to put what they had learned into practice and gain field experience.

In 2018, Movetia launched a pilot project for international cooperation between Swiss and foreign institutions. Discover the project “Lausanne-Madagascar exchange in environment and development” which enabled 9 Geography Masters students at the University of Lausanne to go into the field in cooperation with the University of Antananarivo in Madagascar. A project such as this allows the creation of new partnerships between the institutions in the tertiary sector, while assisting students in developing new human and professional skills in an environment that is different to that of Switzerland. This was very much a training project, and it was possible to achieve it thanks to the financial support of Movetia.
