Find an exchange partner
Do you want to start or extend a mobility or cooperation project, but lack suitable exchange partners? We present several options to help you in your search.
Before you start looking for an exchange partner, it is important to be clear about the goals and expectations of the project. For example, think about what you want to achieve with the project, what the participants should learn professionally or linguistically and whether cultural or organisational issues are important to you. This will help you organise your search for an exchange partner efficiently and launch a successful mobility or cooperation project.
Activate your own network
Many partnerships are based on direct contacts. Perhaps people or organisations in your professional network are suitable for an exchange or can provide you with further contacts? Are you a member of an association or professional organisation? Does your local municipality have a partner municipality? Talk about your exchange plans and ask specifically for suitable contacts.
Activate your network via LinkedIn, for example. Create a post with your project idea and encourage your followers to share the post. This will help you reach many people inside and outside your network.
Attend thematic events or continuing education programmes
Events such as education and exchange fairs, conferences or continuing education programmes offer an excellent opportunity to get to know potential partners. You meet people with similar interests face-to-face and have the opportunity to exchange ideas directly.

Once you have identified potential partners, you can work together to concretise your project and apply for funding. It usually makes sense to meet at this stage. We provide financial support for a preparatory visit to get to know the exchange partners or to finalise the project.
