Planning your project

Do you have an idea for an exchange project or cooperation partnerships, but don't know where to start? Find help with your first planning steps here.

Whether you are organising a student exchange, sending VET students/apprentices to other language regions or setting up international cooperations: all projects go through similar stages. Here you will find general information about this first phase of the project.

Planning on the part of institutions

Institutions and organisations are responsible for planning and subsequently  managing the applications. Participants can be involved wherever possible or take on certain parts of the planning themselves.

Find out more about the formal criteria such as application deadlines, requirements / preconditions and award criteria for the respective funding opportunities. Take these points into account when planning the project so that it meets our funding criteria and we can support it financially.

Three steps are particularly important when planning a project:

  • Define a goal: We support projects that pursue a relevant educational goal.
  • Find project partners: In the project application, you describe your partners and explain your choice. You have defined the key parameters of your collaboration.
  • Planning: With the application, you submit a rough plan for the exchange activity, as well as a description of your preparation, follow-up and support for the exchange.
