Erasmus+ and the Four Horizontal Priorities
The four horizontal priorities of Erasmus+ are relevant to all areas of education. In this webinar, you will receive a brief introduction to the Erasmus+ program, its objectives, and the four priorities. You will also learn how these can be effectively integrated into projects in vocational education and training under KA1 and KA2, and how project organizers can prepare.
The horizontal priorities of Erasmus+ provide projects with a thematic framework and apply across all education sectors and Key Actions (KA). In KA1, they are established as cross-cutting dimensions; in KA2, at least one priority must be selected and its impact demonstrated. When used effectively, they give projects substantive content and highlight their societal impact.
The webinar will present the four horizontal priorities:
- Inclusion and diversity
- Digital transformation
- Environment and fight against climate change
- Participation in democratic life
Using examples from vocational education and training, the webinar will demonstrate how these priorities can be incorporated into the project cycle and what is important for their implementation.
Who is this webinar for?
This webinar is aimed at vocational education and training institutions with Erasmus+ mobility and cooperation projects or plans to undertake such projects under KA1 and KA2. It is also open to interested individuals from other educational sectors.

About the speaker
Camilla Winter is a Senior Advisor based in Borås, Sweden, with over 30 years of experience in internationalization at local and regional level. Since 1995, she has worked primarily in vocational education and training (VET) and adult education. In 2022, she founded her own consulting firm supporting organizations in international cooperation, EU funding and project development. Her consultancy is also an Associate Member of the European Association of Regional and Local Authorities for Lifelong Learning (EARLALL). Since 2004, Camilla is an external expert for the Swedish National Agency (NA) for Erasmus+ and a member of the Swedish National VET Team.
