Erasmus+: Implementation for project managers
The Federal Council aims at Switzerland becoming associated with Erasmus+ as of 2027. From then on, organisations and institutions based in Switzerland will be able to apply directly to Erasmus+ for funding amounts for mobility and cooperation projects. Movetia will be accredited as the National Agency and will remain responsible for the coordination and implementation in Switzerland. We will support you during this preparatory period for participation in Erasmus+ with regular information and training.
Further information on the funding programme, the politics in Switzerland, and facts about Erasmus+ can be found on Movetia's Erasmus+ page.
With an association, Swiss educational institutions will have access to all funding opportunities, networks, and tools offered by the European education programme – and thus to significantly more funding. On this page, we present the new options available to you as an education provider and show you step by step how you can take advantage of them, prepare for the new funding framework and benefit from it.
Attractive opportunities and options for all educational levels: prepare as early as possible
With the association, Swiss institutions and organisations will become more attractive project partners for their European partners – the additional effort required by parallel funding systems will be eliminated. Take advantage of this new position to build European partnerships: Let your personal contacts abroad know that Switzerland aims at an association as of 2027 and that you are interested in organising mobilities and cooperation projects. Use events and networking platforms to present yourself as a potential project partner.
A current overview of all offers, tools, instructions and next steps: We provide you with all the important information for each educational level at the relevant time.
There is an important intermediate step for universities and colleges of higher education / professional school: They must be accredited by January 2026 in order to apply for funding the following year.
All other educational levels: information to follow.
First Erasmus+ Call 2027
Take advantage of the options and plan your project with European partners. The first submission deadline for which Swiss institutions are eligible is expected to be in February 2027. Until then, you do not need to take any mandatory steps – with the exception of universities and colleges of higher education / professional schools. The 2026 calls for projects will again take place within the usual framework of the Swiss Programme for Erasmus+.
