All in Exchange 2025!

Wednesday, June 11, 2025, 10:00 am - 4:45 pm
Annual Youth Event, Farelhaus Biel/Bienne

The Youth Team invites you to All in Exchange! Discover how non-formal learning enriches youth work, exchange best practices or deepen your knowledge of interreligious dialogue in youth work. Network with like-minded people, learn more about our funding opportunities and get inspired – multilingual, practical and at no cost.

All in Exchange – Methods, Encounters, Inspiration!

In the morning, we offer three parallel formats: a workshop on Interreligious Dialogue in youth work, best practices in mobility and exchange specifically for actors in open child and youth work and an introduction to Movetia’s funding opportunities for beginners.

In the afternoon, the plenary session will take place. This will focus on non-formal learning. In collaboration with the Service Civil International, we will provide insights into the implementation of non-formal learning across Switzerland. Be surprised by inspiring approaches and discover new ideas for your own practice!

Additionally, there will be an opportunity for moderated networking, allowing participants to learn from each other and engage in conversations. Catering is provided. Lunch is explicitly also available to those who only attend in the afternoon.

Participation

All in Exchange is aimed at all those active in youth work, from young volunteers to experienced professionals. Participation is free of charge. The event will be held bilingually in German and French.

Format 1 (in English):

Religion - the elephant in the room. How to include interreligious dialogue in youth work.
Moderated by:
Elisabeth Palugyay, Expert in Intercultural/Interreligious Dialogue, Archdiocese of Vienna,
Trainer for the seminar and course on "Interfaith Dialogue" organized by SALTO Inclusion&Diversity

Religion is often seen as a source of difference and conflict, but does it have to be that way? In a world where religious identity often divides, we seek to explore the potential of religion as a bridgebuilder. Interreligious dialogue is a vehicle that could bring us there. By perceiving interreligious dialogue as a positive resource and engaging in it meaningfully, it can create a common ground for joint action. What is interreligious dialogue and how can it be included in youth work? Together we will work on that question during the workshop and set some impulses for a further dialogical approach.

Format 2 (D/F):

Best practices in mobility and exchange for actors in open child and youth work
Moderated by:
Andreas Bosshart and Nathalie Wyss (Youth Team Movetia) in collaboration with beneficiaries

This format demonstrates how exchange and mobility can also work in open youth work. We will present different pathways that can be pursued and give voice to representatives from open youth work who have already carried out an exchange project. They will share their experiences, what to consider when planning a project and how they were able to expand their offerings thanks to various funding opportunities from Movetia.

Format 3 (D/F):

Introduction to funding opportunities for beginners
Moderated by:
Lea Meister and Sara Jovanović (Youth Team Movetia)

This format is aimed at those interested in learning more about Movetia's funding opportunities and understanding how and for what purposes they can apply for support. Here, you will find out more about the application process, the planning and implementation of a potential exchange project and we will explain the project process from application to final report.
